ON THE WAY TO HAPPINESS

From here, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Zillertal Alps and Stilluptal Valley. You set off on the WinterHikingPath at the mountain station, passing the WhiteLounge SnowBar and down to Eagle’s Stage Ahorn at the FalknerOase. Meet the majestic Birds of Prey there, before returning to Ahornbahn mountain station via the FalkenSteig trail and GreifenBrücke bridge (open depending on snow and weather conditions). Alternatively, you can take the 8SB Ahorn chairlift back to your starting point. Once there, just climb up to the Eagle’s Eye ViewingPlatform including a Viscope telescope and discover Mount Ahorn from above.
WINTER HIKING PATH FILZENKOGEL
Secluded resting places and impressive areas of quiet retreat are dotted along the tranquil WinterHikingPath Filzenkogel, where you can linger in peace and allow the impressive views to work their magic. Start at the mountain station of Ahornbahn cable car, before passing the WhiteLounge SnowBar and then straight on to the Filzenkogel.
WINTER HIKING PATH PENKEN
If you need a break from skiing, check out the WinterHikingPath Penken! It starts at the Kombibahn mountain station and leads to the Granatalm at Penkenjoch and back again. This leisurely walk offers spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. Duration: about 1 hour (Please note that our pedestrian ticket is not valid for the Finkenberger Almbahnen cable car.)
Tip: Before returning to the valley with the Penkenbahn, relax at our panorama terrace at the mountain station and experience some powerful moments along the "Zeitreise" information boards - as well as a panoramic views.
BERGWALDWEG ON MOUNT PENKEN
Hike from the Penkenbahn mountain station to the middle station of the Finkenberger Almbahnen. Along the new created BergWaldWeg you can enjoy the idyllic landscape and the wonderful views of Mount Ahorn and Stilluptal opposite. Duration: about 1,5 hours (4,7 km) Our tip: Take the Finkenberger Almbahn up to the Penkenjoch and take the WinterHiking Path Penken back to the Kombibahn Penken, which takes you back to the Penkenbahn. Or you can take the Finkenberger Almbahn to the valley station and take the bus (not included in the ticket price) back to Mayrhofen.
