Every Wednesday from June to October you have the unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Europe’s highest-altitude birds of prey station. Accompanied by our falconers, you will enjoy a very special day with our majestic birds.

For two hours in the morning, you will learn all the important facts about the Eagle’s Stage Ahorn, the profession of a falconer, and the fascinating features of the animals. You will also join the falconers as they care for the birds and you will be given plenty of useful information about the protection of animals and the preservation of nature in the Alps.

And then, at 02.00 p.m., well prepared with all of your background knowledge and from the best seats in the house, you can finally enjoy the moment you’ve been waiting for, the Birds of Prey Show.

General information:

  • Mid-June to mid-October, every Wednesday morning from 10.00 to 12.00 a.m. Please register in advance.

  • Meeting time and place: 08.00 a.m., Ahornbahn valley station

  • Information about the special features of the Eagle’s Stage Ahorn, about the profession of a falconer (career path and requirements) as well as about ornithology and animal protection and insights into the daily routine of a falconer.

  • Enough time for a lunch break.

  • Birds of Prey Show at 02.00 p.m.

  • Minimum age: 16 years.

  • Unfortunately, people with reduced mobility cannot take part.

  • Maximum number of participants: 10 people.

  • Clothing: We recommend closed shoes.

  • Booking until 04:00 p.m. on Tuesday: Possible at any Mayrhofner Bergbahnen cash desk or online.
