GREAT WALKS
The Berlin High Trail is one of the six most spectacular long-distance hiking trails in Tyrol. Trail conditions, scenic experience, mountain hut infrastructure, technical requirements, special highlights: The jury of experts had to examine a whole range of criteria in order to select the six "Great Walks” from over 20 Tyrolean long distance hiking trails, which cover hundreds of kilometres in distance and tens of thousands of metres in altitude.
What are the distinguishing features of the "Great Walks"? The opportunity to escape from everyday life, experience real adventures and immerse yourself in particularly beautiful alpine mountain landscapes. Most of the walks lead through high-alpine terrain and are challenging, even for experienced hikers: Those who decide to take on one or several of these challenges will, however, be richly rewarded with majestic views and memories for a lifetime.
