"Klöpfel" carol singing at some of Mayrhofen's most beautiful spots

The custom of “Klöpfelsingen” is still practiced in the Zillertal. The "Männergesangverein Mayrhofen" and the players of the brass band Mayrhofen have dedicated themselves to "Klöpfelsingen" in the pre-Christmas period and are once again taking to Mayrhofen's most beautiful squares this year to perform their songs and melodies to the audience.
18.30 hrs Hollenzen - Dorfbrunnen Anyone who knows Hollenzen knows how romantic the square around the village fountain is. Illuminated for Christmas, in the center of this idyllic district, the village fountain shines in the most beautiful splendor. At 18.30 hrs, the singing men and the players of the brass band Mayrhofen line up and play music for the residents around Hollenzen, Eckartau and Laubichl. But it's not just the local residents who are welcome guests, people from far and wide visit the village square in Hollenzen and pause to listen to the beautiful music.
19.00 hrs Church Mayrhofen (old cemetery) It seems as if the whole lower village of Mayrhofen is sleeping peacefully when the men's choir touches the souls of the people with its songs at the old cemetery at 19.00 hrs. The wind instruments of the Mayrhofen brass band do their part - Christmas spreads through the hearts.
20.00 hrs Dorf Haus - in front of the “Griena” inn At 20.00 hrs, the singers and musicians meet in front of the Griena Inn in the Dorf Haus district. In front of the romantically illuminated and several hundred year old Griena Inn, Christmas carols and Advent tunes resound across the entire village.
20.30 hrs Hotel Edenlehen (in front of the chapel) The last stop of the Klöpfelsingen in Mayrhofen is, as every year, in front of the Edenlehen chapel at the hotel of the same name. To the left of the chapel, the Christmas tree shines brightly, and in the candle-lit chapel, the Virgin Mary at the altar becomes the focus of attention. A fire bowl blazes in front of the chapel, creating a romantic atmosphere. Guests and locals reflect and surrender to the warm atmosphere. When the male choral society and the brass players begin their program, absolute silence descends. Advent carols are played for the last time this year in front of the Edenlehen.
