The Ahornspitze with Peter Habeler
Description
Together with Peter Habeler on his favorite mountain
The undisputed highlight of Peter Habeler's career was the first ascent of Mount Everest without artificial oxygen in 1978, together with Reinhold Messner. On this tour, you can now conquer your inner swine and create your personal Everest! Our tour leads from the mountain station of the Ahornbahn (2,000 m) to the Karl-von-Edelhütte (2,238 m). From there, it goes over grassy ground and scree slopes up to the rocky steep rise of the west ridge, which leads to the Ahornspitze (2,976m), which towers more than 2,300 m above Mayrhofen! From the summit we can now enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, afterwards a refreshment on the terrace of the Edelhütte awaits us.
